i’m elyssa
Conversion Copywriter, Funnel Strategist, and Scholar of Boudoirs and Dressing Rooms You could tell my story through the scholarly stuff: My BA from Harvard in visual studies with a focus on film, a minor in English lit, and a citation in French. The MFA I earned in screenwriting from UCLA, studying adaptation with Phyllis Nagy (who wrote Carol)…

Speaking of tea, here it is… My name is pronounced Eh-lee-sa. But in first grade I was too shy to tell my teacher she had it wrong so she called me by the wrong name for the whole year.

With my husband, I’m creating a homestead in the model of Yogananda’s World Brotherhood Colony. We’re crafting a life connected to nature, fueled by medicinal herb gardening and guided by meditation.

I’ve been known to push wordplay and puns really (really!) far. Bringing a level of fun and joy into copy is important to me. (But I’ll only push the puns in your copy if it’s in alignment with your brand, promise!)

My mom's a Shakespeare scholar and my dad translates Russian theology so I guess you can say I grew up in a literary environment. I started writing weird sonnets about my crush when I was 14 and since then writing has been my BFF
